    Hey ya'll.
Last night I made one of those spur of the moment decisions, and I jumped all over a 1999 Warwick Standard Corvette, Passive Electronics.
I've played a bunch of these at the music shops, and have never put one back on the stand without absolute respect for the sound and feel.
Even comparing it to prices on here, I would consider my purchase as close to steal as I could find on one of these.
Im excited as hell, and just needed to vent.
I'll catch ya on the down low.

    $510 american.
With shipping, it will work out to around $650 canaidan.
I certainly wouldn't find one in stores for anywhere near that.

    Nice score!!!!!

I just joined the W club sunday as well, congrats.

I got a 04 corvette standard with a rockbag and 2 sets of dr high beams for 599.99 at my local guitar center. For buying from a local store I think I got a fair deal but yours looks like a steal.

Its a big step up from my MIM Precision, and will be the perfect axe to dive deep into some ska/reggae stuff while still being able to throw down some metal lines when needed.
  11. now you just need to get an amp to match!:spit:

I bought a Warwick Corvette 5 as my first "real" big bass purchase. I had been using an Ibanez EDB before that.

I loved that Corvette. So much so I bought another one after I sold the first one. Of course I ended up selling that one to get a Thumb B.O. with a wenge neck, but still, the Vette is a great instrument.

Similar for me: a Corvette 6 after an Ibanez SDGR... and man, was it a huge step up in tone!!!

    Congrats!

Those are great basses for the money! I have a fretless Corvette Standard, and I am quite impressed.
