    just placed an oder for a Squire VM-P5!

    anyone have any good/bad opinions?

    I'm all ears :)

    No experience with them at all. Sure is a looker though. I have a rosewood board Fender version and it's my main player.

    I'd have gone with the rosewood fret board. Other than that, awesome!

    They're really good, and surprisingly: no floppy B-string (which is special at this low of a budget)

    IMG_1664.JPG Great value for the price! I own one. Modded it a little but it sounds good right out of the box. Get a set up by someone good and your strings of choice and you should be good. Mine now has a Hipshot bridge and Nordstrand pickups in addition to the new pick guard.

    I already have a Fender P with rosewood fretboard and a squire Jazz seluxe active 5 with a phenolic fretboard. This'll be my first with a maple fretboard.

    I have many maple fretboards. Others too but if I have a choice maple is my favorite.

    The rosewood version spells Squier with an "F," so it is at a whole different price point.

    I had one, and it was a great bass. I ended up letting it go because I just prefer a Jazz or modern bass more than a Precision.

    I had one and thought it was great. I didnt have a problem with any of the construction or feel of the neck. I sold it because i had no use for a 5 string P.

    I bought a Squier 4 string VM online and returned it 5 minutes after opening the box because of the neck dive.
