I gotta give props to fettbass for fostering my Valenti gas with his glowing review of #173!

Once I actually receive it I'll post thoughts/pics/ramblings/etc.
  2. Awesome man! Can't wait to hear more about it.
  3. That is one attractive bass, man. I bet it sounds even better than it looks!

If it sounds half as good as it looks, you've got a keeper. I love it!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's going to sound great ... I'm just a complete sucker/whackjob for redwood. I've seen a couple Peavey Cirrus's with redwood tops and thought they were so beautiful.

I was concerned about the controls, given that there are only 4 knobs and the onboard Aguilar system is a 3 band ...

Here's the deal straight from 'the man' himself:

    Master Volume w/preamp bypass*
    Mid w/mid shift*
    Bass/treble stack
    *push/pull pot.

So the bass/treble is a stacked (concentric) potentiometer.

We'll see how that goes, should be fine.

I've already envisioned a sibling ... same bass, 4 string, but figured walnut top and fret markers. :) Loves me some walnut as much as redwood.

Baird6869 RIP Gord Downey. A True Canadian Icon.

    That is gorgeous.

I will be buying an active Jazz 5er soon and after looking at Nordy, Lull, MBasses and Sadowsky, Nino is the way to go IMO.
