man i love the sound of these on my sr800 with the midrange and treble boosted, and the bass attenuated slightly. really twangy and metallic sounding. i hope they sound like this longer then many people here say they last for $17 :(

I used to use Boomers, and never had a problem with short string life, but then, I guess I don't have very acidic sweat. If they work for you, great. If not, there's always Slinkys.

  3. Whenever my strings start sounding dull, I wipe 'em with rubbing alcohol! Yep, I put a big piece of cardboard between the strings and neck and then wipe them down, and that gives them the zing that they have then they're new.
