Just finished seeing Travis in concert. He was brought in to play for the homecoming weekend at the university where I work. Overall a pretty good show. I have to admit, he is a better guitar player than I thought. At one point, he ripped off a pretty cool solo cadenza to start a song, and then commented, "Eat your heart out George Strait." I took a look at the bass player's rig afterwards. He was using a Sadowsky 5 string with a MM and P-bass pickup setup. Eden World Tour amp, Eden 4-10 as a stage monitor, looked like an X-Wire, and then another thing in his rig that I had no idea what it was. I asked one of the stage guys, and he had no idea. His response - "We just run him DI into the mains, so all that stuff is just for him." It was 2 rack spaces, had the gauges like an Aguilar, but was black, had two seperate channels, and said something like "Premier" on it. If anyone has any ideas what it could be let me know. I could not figure why he would have a WT-800 and a preamp. Seems redundent.
