    this is kind of pointless...think about how many hours youve played bass in your life?geez it kinda scares me.ive probably played like 800 hours of bass.for all you people who have been playing your whole life,you might of played total a year or two of time.kinda scary,but cool

    That is cool. when I was in High School I figured out about how many hours. I had wasted riding the bus. That was depressing.

    Hmmm, at an average of 2 hours a day, over the course of 4 years, that's

    2484 hours. Thats 118.66666 days, or roughly 4 months straight of laying a groove down.

    That must mean that I'm a bas ass at bass!!! Right?! Don't lie to me just to make me feel better.

    Lord. Lets see, I have been playing for 12 1/2 years. Approximatly an hour of practicing a day that whole time. A few hundred gigs thrown in there over the years. More than a few hundred rehersals....... That's alot of time. But you know, that is some of the best time spent in my life, and I would not trade that for anything.

    Imagine when someone like Embellisher or John ? from Hawaii find this thread. Talk about alot of playing. How about one of our resident pros? That's ALOT of playing.

    I tried to be conservative and came up with somewhere in the neighborhood of 21000 to 40000 (yes 40 thousand) hours.











    Y'know, for someone who's been playing for more than 20 thousand hours, I suck! :D

    SilvermaneZ, I havent played as many hours as you might think, despite playing for 20+ years.

    I come up with between 20,000 & 25,000.
