Just want to make sure I'm clear on this...

  1. This summer I'm planning on getting a job and buying a Gallien Krueger 700RB-II. From looking at the specs it can put out 320w@8ohms and 480w@4ohms. Now the cab I have now can handle up to 400w and is 8ohms. If I added on another cab making it put out up to 480w, does it split it between the cabs making it so each takes up to 240w making it so my 400w cab could handle it? Sorry if I make no sense, not the best amp person here and just trying to get my facts straight. Any help is mucho appreciated.

    Peace,
    Tyler

  3. your 400W cab could handle much more than a 400W amp -- you'd be safe with a much more powerful amplifier. what can i say? someone else already beat me to the quick answer.
