Just want to say 'Hi!

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by tyburn, Nov 15, 2005.

  1. Just quick post to say hello...

It's been a couple of years since i last used Talkbass and feel it's now time to show my face again and see what's going on.

I most probably won't be remembered, many of the 'faces' i knew are now no longer participating so frequently...

However, I once spent an unhealthy amount of time here for an 18 YO boy .... now at 23 i feel it's time to return to bass playing with the same amount of commitment i had back then.

    Thanks for you time..

    Stu

  4. Funny your should ask... i was thinking the same thing :)

My basses and amps are in storage at the moment... but they'll be back home soon!

To be honest though, most of the really good bass players here do as much yapping as slappin ;)

  10. Hey, I'm a bit of a "local" around here. I'm kind of an unofficial moderator. Most TBers refer to me as "The Dude" and look up to me. You need any help, or anyone's giving you any trouble, just ask me. I'll sort them out for you.

    The Dude.

    hello

jackmurray is lying. Most of the people know him thanks to the jackmurray look at me thread. No one calls him the dude, at least not as far as i know. Also, he eats babies

Hey, My Father is from Carlisle...I love it there(only been twice). And his mother and brothers still live there. Cool little town. :)

Sorry that I haven't really contributed to the thread. Never do, really.

Actually I had a lot of spare time when I was getting my degree - it was the time immediately after, that I had to work to pay off my huge debts - the bank insisted that I pay them a certain minimum amount a month and I had no choice but to get whatever work I could!!

  16. Oh... i feel that one too... need to work to pay the bills... but as i was studying and working before i have the 'studying portion' of my life back ;)

I do however need to get a job more to do with Graphic design/ illustration and less to do with gents underwear and inside leg's :(
