This bass is from the early fifties and was very lightly used almost new. The neck has recently been reset the fingerboard has been dressed it has a new endin and tailwire the tailpiece is german not original, the bass sounds good and amplifies very well also bows nicely. three quarter size 1800.00 NYC area.confurius@verizon.net

Hi Marty. What makes it an "Army" bass? I had a violin shaped Kay M-1 from the same time period that I got from an army base "Entertainment and Recreation" center (they were clearing out the attic, no bridge, no soundpost, no case), the only thing that denoted its "military" status was somebody carved a serial number into the edge of the rib.
