Very thumpy Kay K-162 reissue! I was told it was from around 2015. Immaculate condition with hardly no wear on it. Currently strung with La Bella flatwounds. Case is a little blemished, but still very solid and all latches work. The toggle switch doesn't seem to be working. I'm not a good electronics guy, so I haven't looked into it! $725 shipped.

What does the switch do when it works? I see only one pickup.

In regards to the switch, I honestly don't know what it's supposed to do lol. Maybe someone that has one, or knows more about it can chime in. Maybe its like Sklar's "Producer" switch lol.

I had a used one once. If memory serves. It would go to “tone knob” rolled off.

  7. I have an original, love it. These reissues are built from the same body design. They sound great!

It is medium scale. Nut width is 1.43. I don't have a scale unfortunately, or a way to do sound samples. It's light, and I would say it has to be under 8.5lbs, or right at it.

  11. They sound phat like an upright bass. Hollow body with a single coil pickup in the neck position. Put on some flats and you’re ready.

The switch on mine bypasses the passive tone control. (Sounds the same to my ears as when the tone knob is all the way up.)
    And it looks cool.
