An earlier post here turned me on the artist KEM. That bass is so sweet. Which brings me to my question.

How would someone go about reproducing that sound?

The best I can describe it is as a "round" sound. I'm guessing there is a fretless with flatwounds involved.

    Any input is appreciated.

I don't know if he recorded the album but Al Turner tours with him and he plays Ken Smith basses thru Eden amps.

That doesn't sound remotely close to flats on a fretless IMO. More like Ken Smith, or Peavey Cirrus 5 or 6 string with rounds.
