    This is a Ken Smith BSR 5GN 2000 model I believe based on the "00" ending on serial number.
    This bass has been played and has that honey roasted look from age. It looks fantastic and well taken care of but it has dings/marks, thumb mark at neck pickup. IT is evening and it is difficult photographing walnut with poor light.

    I will try doing better pics in natural light during the weekend.

    Now comes the bad: the blend knob does not have a center stop - however, the blend knob works. You just have to center the knob yourself.

    The bass comes with a Musicman hardcase. There is no Smith case and No Smith Strap.


    Plays, feels and sounds very birpy and growly like a Smith should - there is some killer tone here.

    Original knobs were in bad shape so previous owner replaced them.
