Hard-to-find Ken Smith fretless 5-string. I think the Smith pickups/electronics are perfect for fretless. I had Ken make this for me a few years back. It is a rare alder core body with figured walnut top and back. Neck is 5-piece maple-ovankol, fingerboard is unlined ebony. Current 18V Smith preamp with series/parallel switches. Focused, punch sound. I often could use this on gigs with busy mixes and still hear the note attack. Excellent B-string balance with the rest of the instrument. The bass has been played/gigged, but is in excellent shape. Never abused.

Only selling because I'm in downsize mode and have 3 other fretli at the moment.

    Ken Smith BSR-GN neck-through 5-string fretless
    unlined ebony fingerboard
alder core, walnut top and back, flame maple tone block

    18mm bridge spacing
    1.75" nut
    black hardware
extra strap lock position (provides better balance imho)
includes original Smith case, tools, etc
    9.4 lbs

$3150 shipped/insured in the CONUS. Downsizing, not looking for trades.

Good lord this is beeyootiful. The black hardware is the best! I wish he did that standard instead of his usual bling/gold. Also rare is the fact you had it oil finished instead of lacquer. If only this were 6 strings...GLWTS!
