I got my BSR-5 last year, but it didn't have the wax bottle with it. It's a 5yr old bass, and for a while now I've noticed it's been looking pretty dull and dry (and I was getting jealous on how nice JRBrowns' Smiths look), so a couple days ago I went down to Bass NW and got some Smith wax.

I did one waxing on it and really brought out the richness back in the walnut body, but it will need some more waxing.
How long do you leave the wax on before buffing it off?
You do buff it off, right?
Do you also wax the maple part of the neck?

Sorry, cheap camera and very poor room lighting.

I love the Smith classic wax polish!!! I used it on all the basses with the natural finishes. One little bottle will last you a long time...to get a really good shine, I buff it out right away. Then I'll use the GHS guitar polish to get a really great shine on top of the Smith polish. Try it, you'll like it!! ;) :D
