I have a BSR6MW, I was playing around with the controls and found that setting the bottom front fully ccw (believe thats the neck pickup) and the top rear (the bridge pickup) between 12:00 and 6:00 o-clock, I discover I could get a fretless, Joco kind of sound, I usually dont play around much with my knobs on that bass, but I am finding out that bass has some very interesting tones:D
    anyone else have simular experience?

I also wonder if his neck-thru basses differ much in tone

Something about his bass just makes me glad I finally got my hands on one, if I have not played it for a few days, and come back and start playing, it feels so good and so right :D

    Peace and blessing to all!

You'll get that with nearly every bass when you solo the bridge pickup . . .
