i just got off the phone with Kevin's wife.

Kevin's in a sad way. I can't just sit by and not do anything.

he's such a great guy with innovations the bass community needs.

so, i'm putting this out for discussion:

i'd like to start a fund, not so much for the money (though it would be a cash donation sort of thing), more for the idea that we care.

you can trust me with all your cash, right?

maybe a Paypal sorta thing. i'm thinkin' like 5 or 10 dollars per donation.

he had insurance, but my god, all his custom jigs, tools, templates...i can't imagine the loss.

I have plans on getting a Bru one day, his basses are some of the most interesting, innovative, and all around cool designs I've seen. I don't have much, but I will give what I can.

I'll probably never be in the market for one of his basses, but I'm in. I believe in lending a hand after a fella's caught one in the nuts.

  9. that sounds like a good idea. to let him know that people are supporting him. mabey someone could set-up a paypal kind of thing like they did with rocco prestia.
  10. I'm game too, for what little I can spare. The mixer can wait.

Sure, I'm in. Someone should find out what he is actually going to need though, as in what the insurance is going to cover and what not.

That's an excellent idea. Unfortunately, I can't do Paypal, but some other method (check maybe) would work.
    Best of wishes to Kevin...:(
Wish I could do more and actually put forth the money for one his basses with no particular deadline.

Let me know where and how to contribute.

I am also thinking of stuff I have laying around that I can raffle off somehow to contribute also.

I might have some pickups and or preamps I can put up......
