Final pre-Christmas moving bump. I'm willing to go lower on the price for a cash offer. Please PM me if interested.

This is a very cool little bass but I'm moving and I'm just not playing it enough to justify keeping it around. It's a 30" scale 5 string acoustic with a high C string and 24 frets. It can sound like a nylon string guitar in the high register and is great for playing chords on. It's got a spruce top and maple back and sides with a killer quilted figure on the back and has a K&K piezo pickup under the bridge.

Overall in great condition with just a couple of scratches near the strap pin. The bass is currently strung with D'Addario black nylons and will also come with a set of LaBella flats and Thomastik-Infeld Acousticores. Will ship well packed in a Reunion Blues RBX gig bag that is a perfect fit. I will also include all of the original paperwork from Mike Kinal. Asking $1600 shipped CONUS. I'd be really interested in a trade for a nice P-bass (Fender, Moollon, Lakland, etc.). Feel free to make offers.

Here's a quick video I made with my laptop. The quality isn't great, but hopefully it gives you an idea of the unplugged sound from this little guy:

    Kinal-Full.
    Kinal-Body.
    Kinal-BodyBack.
    Kinal-Head.
    Kinal-HeadBack.
    Kinal-SoundHole.
    Kinal-Scratch.
    Kinal-Case.

What's the string to string spacing and is that a forearm contour I see?

It has 19mm spacing at the bridge and yes, it has a forearm contour

Sorry to ask again, but is this really 19mm spacing? I thought they were made with narrower spacing but I might be wrong.

I ordered this bass from Mike and spec'd it out. I just checked my original notes from emails with Mike. It is 1 3/4 at the nut 19mm at the bridge.

BTW - great bass. I've got another one on order with Mike now. Should be done in weeks. These things are a game changer.

Thanks Peter. Yes, it really is 19mm at the bridge. I can take a picture with a ruler later.

Beautiful! Could it be strung and setup for BEADG?

I haven't tried it, but it's definitely possible. Keep in mind it's only a 30" scale, so a low B string might not be very tight.

I've gotten a couple of PMs about this bass recently so I decided to bump the thread. I still have the bass, and would still be interested in selling/trading. I have moved and the bass is now located in the Bay Area.

  15. Awesome are you bringing it to the Bay Area GTG?

Is the pickup removable? Can it be swapped for another kind?

The pickup is a piezo under the bridge. I'm sure it could be swapped out, but that would probably require some luthier skills.

Hey not to revive a dead thread but I’m actually in the Bay Area for a week or so and I’d be interested in making a cash offer if this beauty is still up for grabs.

It's still available. I'm around this week if you want to come check it out. Send me a PM.
