Another Wetton track I recorded, this time from his years with U.K.
very cool--I love that whole cd
and yes, imo you sounded just like him!
Nice tone, bro.
Nice bass, too.
Good job!!! You made that look so easy!!
Wonderful to see younger players appreciate us older guys! Nice clip...
John is a great player. His sound at that time (Precision, Rotosounds and Hiwatt w/12"s) is classic... note my signature and avatar...
You probably are aware of him, but if you are not... check out Ray Shulman's work on any of the Gentle Giant albums. (Acquiring the Taste/Octopus/In a Glass House/Power and the Glory, etc...)
Same basic equipment (Precision, Rotosounds and Marshall w/12"s), and in a similar genre, as Crimson-era Wetton.
wow man you sound amazing! the clairty, such a clean recording, no mis-happens,
Great job, and you got really close to the tone. I'm with the people on youtube, keep going.
That's nicely done...
I've got a pretty good recording of one my bands playing Red live - I'll post if anyone's interested.
