Ibanez designates them as: DXH2N and DXH2B pups

They're passive and look like Bart's, but are wired to an active preamp.

I know Ibanez puts real Bart's on it's upscale basses, but I can't find info on the EDB series pups.

    Anyone have the inside poop?

And, yes, I did search like a good little boy. :p

My original question concerned the "non-Bart" pups on the EDB series of basses. Does anyone know about them?

And, not to hijack my own thread, but....

And if Ibanez isn't using real Bart pups on the SR900 series, they're really pulling the wool over our eyes.

    Not "real" Bart pups?

I don't know anything about the Ergodyne pups, but the pups on the SR 500 and 900 are "real". However, they're made in Korea. Just as EMG has a couple of lines that aren't the same as their flagship pups (EMG Select, EMG Hz), Bart has the MK-1 series made to their specs in Korea. So they're "real" in that they come from Bartolini, but they are mass-produced at a lower cost. I had a Cort Josh Paul sig 5 which has this system (pups and pre) in it, and it sounded fine, pretty Bartolini-ish to my ears.
