I have the chance to purchase a 2001 Korean-made EB3 in cherry--the one with the "Gibson" truss rod cover. I have had the Chinese version before, had to sell for some reason, and now want one again. Would the Korean model--it is in very good condition according to the photos and the source--be in any way superior? Maybe some EB3 owners could chime in. There would be an option to return. Now that I finally know how to adjust the old three-point bridge, I am no longer concerned about the posts pulling out like they did to me once.
These are nice basses for the money. The body should be solid mahogany vs the thin veneer on the newer Chinese ones. Stick a 60's mudbucker in the neck position and you have a winner!
