I have a Korg AX 300 effects box which is designed for use with guitar (not bass). That said, it does *seem* to work ok with a bass setup (just had to try it out).

Will this hurt or damage a bass amp or speakers?

No, it will not in any way damage your bass or amp.

What guitar effects do sometimes do is suck your low end out, however. I don't have any experience with your particular effect, but in short, it's not going to damage anything at all.

But if you do expeience some low-end loss, you can add it back in with either another EQ pedal or dialing bass back in on the EQ on your amp.
