Korg tuner question- not stupid

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by soundoholic, Jul 8, 2003.

  1. Are any of the korg rack tuners able to be calibrated to 432hz?

On their website it says they can only be calibrated down to 438hz manually but I wonder how far down it can be calibrated automaticaly ?

If anyone could just check theirs with another tuner that would really help me out. I don't live even close to a good music store, so any help you guys and gals could give me would really be appreciated.

hmmm... In Austr tuners are tuned to 440Hz. Do we have a different concert pitch to the rest of the world do we (wouldn't surprise me).

  3. My band tunes to 432hz. Not my idea. If it were up to me we would be at 440hz.

Am I missing something? What possible advantage is there to tuning to 432 hz?

I can think of several disadvantages.

  5. Please do not steal my thread. If you want to talk about why tuning down is bad then pm me or start a new thread. It might actually get a good response. Once again please do not steal my thread. I am actually posting something in hopes of getting help. I'm not trying to bash people.

I can't say for sure about the Korg rackmounts, but my little Korg CA-20 can be calibrated to anywhere between 430Hz and 449Hz. I would think the rackmounts would have the same range, but I could be wrong.
