KoRn frontman Jonathan Davis blames downloading for their flopped album, "Untouchables". Alot of hardcore fans have stated that they have downloaded Korn's CD's in the past and bought them after their release, but this wasn't worth buying. Here's my question: When does an artist admits that sometimes, they put out crap? Don't blame downloading, just admit it, this album huffed rat crap!
They usually admit it when they promote the next album after that one, and additionally maybe after a change of record label/management/attorney/lineup/style.
Welp,Can't like KoRn anymore... it prooves they're in it for the money...and just that. I mean,so what they're downloading your stuff? haven't you made enough money? -Jon
I bought the album.... ....it sucks just as much as if I were to download it!!!!! Why does it prove that they're in it just for the $$$$? If every band was in it just for the music, every show, & every album & every apperence would be donated to a charity, church, school scolarship(sp?), etc. I love working @ Sadowsky. That dosen't mean I wanna do it for free.
I listened to it like twice and put it away. I am sorta a KoRn fan too, I like the 1st one and Issues. Downloading is an easy scapegoat these days...
So, interesting addendum to Woodchuck's questions about admitting an album sucks... Even if they have a new line up/label/style, why did they put out a bunch of crap anyway? As musicians, shouldn't they be putting out what they feel is their absolute best foot forward? Then how do they call it crap? I mean, I can see saying that you weren't sure of what you wanted to do, didn't have direction, ect, but calling your former best effort crap? Are they admitting they were crapping on their fans/themselves by putting out a crap album?
I personally dislike korn for the fact that their music isn't that great and the singer...WHAT THE HELL IS HE SAYING?!?!?!?! Some parts of music is the lyrics, and it's nice to know what their saying.
What? You think Jonathan Davis is hard to understand? Then by all means, don't get into metal. It'd make your head explode.
Ok...I know this may seem hella weird, but he is the only metal singer I cannot understand! I dont know why, it's just I dont understand him.
The main reason why I didn't like their last album was that the recording quality sucked big time. It sounded like they were recording in cave or something. I think it's a new fad now to make sucky recordings in multi-million dollar studios. Has anybody else noticed this?
No offense to Metallica fans (i'm one myself) but the recording quality of their new album wasn't all that great either, but still good songs!
The ONLY metal singer you can't understand? Hmmmm, something tells me you haven't listened to much metal. Some metal singers gimmic is non understandable screaming and/or cookie monster vocals in death metal.
Gimmick? Er, maybe that, or it's an expression of their dissatisfaction with the social norms helf forth by the rest of the musical world, and as they themselves are outsiders, the need to make themselves stand out, and be unintelligable! Uh, or, somthing. Wait, no, probably a gimmick. Or an inability to sing...

I got to visit the studio that a band called Leisure were recording their debut album on dreamworks records. We talked to the lead singer for a little while and he flat out admitted, they had recorded an album($300,000) before, but it sucked so they didn't release it. now they are doing their debut for $50,000 or something far less than before, they are doing it all low-tech, at a local studio in Ojai that has a nieve(sp?) and well I couldn't A/B the tw recordings, but the one they were working on sounded really good. They are a punk band. The point is, that they admitted to me personally that they had produced a crappy album, so at least, SOME band has done this
*raises hand* I own a couple of old Korn Cds. I started downloading this one, but it sucked, so i stopped after the second song. I do like one song off it though. Which has no clickity clack in it. Hollow life. Its not a hard song actaully. hmmm oh well. Ive had albums that flopped when they were released. Meaning I had 10 people say they didn't have money and that they would pay me back. Well where is my 50 dollars!?!
