Kubicki Fretless: Good deal?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by angelopb, Dec 5, 2004.

  1. Bass central has this for like 1,000. A little more than I wanted to spend on a fretless, but I am really digging the look of this thing but I am not sure why.

I just like the post modern look and how it is totally black. But I am wondering what these things sound like. I was going to check that store out next week. I just don't like metallic-sounding basses, especially on a fretless.

    Is that price too optimistic?

as someone that has a fender era Kubicki, they aren't bad basses - but I got mine from BassNw for $700, the only thing this one has going for it is the color.

I've only heard one Kubicki, and it was almost enough to make me want to buy another fretted bass.

Never heard a fretless, but I imagine it'd be damn sweet.

dont know to much about fender era ones, but ive never seen an unlined fretless kubicki. and i heard it has mwauh the plenty. i love mine.
  5. Thanks. The unlined is what makes it look really cool. It's almost as its from the Bladerunner or something. Maybe would look cool with a few of those bluish LEDs.
