I have a 1982 L2000 Series E and I was wondering if anyone knows what the "Series E" stands for and how it differs from other L2000's?:bassist:

The first 2000's were passive only.
The "E" was to indicate electronic preamp.
The passive models, weren't popular, were dropped from the lineup, as was the E designation.

I've been a G&L freak since 1980; I've never laid hands on the passive model.

AFAIK the passive l2k's are quite rare- only produced for a couple of years
