I just posted this on the G&L forum; perhaps someone here can help:

Please excuse this question if it's been asked before, but I couldn't find it...my new Tribute L2500 was gonna get a new battery today, so I laid it down, took out the 6 screws on the electronics/battery, and then???? How do you get that !@&*^ cover off without digging a hole in the bass, the cover, or both? Special tool needed? It's so securely jammed in position I just can't see a way to get it off without damaging something.

    TIA

i dunno, but you could try a piece of duct tape? it's plastic, right? if so, then it shouldn't damage it. just roll it up into a tube-ish thing so that it's sticky on both sides, and then put it on really firmly. finally, pull it up.
