Am I crazy for thinking this? I love my L2500. The body is honey with a rosewood fretboard. I've recently purchased A SR5 with a maple FB and I just love this combo. I'm thinking about buying an L2500 on the net with a maple FB and swap the necks and sell the guitar I don't want. Is this stupid to do? Will it devalue the guitar I want to keep? Anyone interested in a neck swap? :meh:

Contact a G&L dealer or G&L itself and see if you can just buy a neck. If you do swap necks on a bass, I think you should make that known if you sell it, because it could change the serial number and raise problems for warranty or theft. If it is done professionally, it should not affect the actual quality of the bass.
