I'm thinking of getting one of these. But I wanted to get some feed back. Please explain why you chose what you did. Also, whatever I end up going with will end up being tuned BEAD. Thanks for your help.:help:

Well, do you want the neck to feel like a baseball bat or a sleek, sexy super model's leg? If the model's leg is your preference, go for the Sterling.

Not familiar with the L2K so I won't comment on it.

I have a Sterling HS. It remains the best fretted bass I've ever played. I love the sound and the way it plays. It is a fantastic bass. The neck is indeed amazing.

I own both a L2K and a Sterling HS. They are fairly different basses. The L2K is heavier and has more of a deeper "rock" sound. The MFG pickups on it are very strongly voiced (the bass' strong point) and there are a lot of sound options.

The Sterling HS is sleeker. The sound is brighter and a little more refined/clearer. It is better for playing fast articulate basslines, but it lack some of the "meat" on the tone that the L2K has.

They are both great basses (thus why I own both and don't ever plan to sell either).

My comment about the necks stands, but to be fair, that's for the standard profile L2000 neck. I believe you can order one with a thinner profiled neck, the #6 IIRC.
