I got a new set of la bella black nylon sting for my Kydd 6 string carry-on (short scale) EUB yesterday. It is for EB but make my EUB sound more like the DUB now and has a more less tension. Can I use a bow on this string ? And Is this string the same as DUB model (Ron Carter Model) ?

This string is difficult to bow because the black nylon wrap is slippery.
The string has some similarities with the LaBella 7710 string Ron Carter uses, but the construction is not exactly the same. The outer finish is the same though.

I've got LaBella tapewounds and have noticed the bowing problem (its next to impossible), and also have noticed that these strings sound great amplified, but not great acoustically. Does anyone have a string suggestion that would sound more like LaBellas when amplified, but would sound more like Obligatos non-amplified? Is this an impossible question?
