La Bella DTF 760FS E-String Length on P-Bass

    Hi All:
    First Post!!!! YAY!!! Happy to be here!

    So 8ABBC0CF-19EE-4B68-93AC-ABADD15A5D30.jpeg I recently acquired a 50’s classic pbass and threw some la bella DTF 760FS on it...
    I just noticed that the E sting seemed to be too long and i am winding really really close to the steel part...
    I am wondering if this is normal?
