This is so apparant that I can't believe it's just now something I've learned! I know Chris Squire had his Ric thinned but for some reason I haven't seen anyone do this. As a almost 50-year bass player, my back loves this idea...thank you for the information!

so if you know Jimmy Carbonetti and his builds, this is SO him. We had some extra anodized aluminum lying around, so we thought we'd let him go nuts. He might make an anodized control plate as well. Thinking maybe we'll have him do a whole series of "Carbonetti" Olintos like this with his signature aesthetic details….just trying to be different!

I've been dreaming of an ash/maple, or alder/maple 59's style bass from you folks for a while. I'm betting that they absolutely nail that 70's maple p-bass tone, with a Low B.

Sam set up last weekend… Messing around on some blue stuff. Recorded through someone's iPhone. Going through the PA but that's mostly my amp.

Second clip has a solo I believe. I meant every single wrong note. It was all 'next level' reharmoniztion and not mistakes. Also … blues gig: I might have accidentally drank a glass of whiskey or two, thinking it was unsweetened tea

I really dig the 5 inline configuration of the tuners. I (just me....) can't abide by the 4+1 configuration that seems to be the dominant format these days. (Old man shakes fist at sky...)

Well… You are in luck.

It took me a little bit to get used to the headstock.

It's kind of thick and crude… Much like the sound out of my speakers
