I tried searching, but the terms are too generic.

I have a regular Squier Jaguar (not SS), and I want to order some Labella Flats from bassstringsonline, anyone know what scale I need?

I think that they should be long scale, but I already ended up with the wrong ones once (totally my fault, I just picked up a set from Sam Ash, without noticing they were the Beatle bass ones until I got back to Spain! :banghead:)

The bass I am referring to is this one:

    Thanks!

  2. The simplest way to make sure you have the right length is to measure from the ball end to where it just clears the nut, which is commonly referred to as the "winding length".

Here's the info on the winding lengths for the La Bella flats:
    • Short Scale = 32" Ball to Silk
    • Medium Scale = 34" Ball to Silk
    • Long Scale = 37" Ball to Silk
    • Extra Long Scale = 38" Ball to Silk
