Why don't we just get away from the whole ERB issue and just enjoy the achievement in Lutherie that it is. :)

Maybe we should just mound 4 legs to the underside of it, & put it in front of the couch? LOL

if you can actually play that flightdeck....ROCK ON!

    I know I wouldn't be able to.

Should be an impressive bass, though.

Oh and when will the Adler 11-string be available in 19 mm spacing? I'm waiting for that...

Come to think of it: 10*18,5-19 at joint...

Now play THAT if you dare!!! :D :D :D
    :p

  11. Wow, I have a hard enough time finding strings for my Conklin 7, best of luck to you! It still boggles my mind that Bill can even construct something like that...

  12. Outstanding. What is the top wood? I don't immediately recognize it.

Stew, is this the gift from your wife?

    Geoff

  13. Very, very cool!

Not to steal Stew's thunder, but I believe the top wood will be lacewood, Geoff. I'm sure Stew will be around to give all the details when he gets a chance. :)

  14. Awesome, Mark! Give us your impressions on that bad boy! :bassist:

  15. If you don't pay attention to the tuner holes, it looks like a
    15" scale 4 strings bass.:D
    It is really impressive!!!

Here is a close-up of that top wood, these pictures were originally posted by Stew at the Yahoo group Subcontrabassist. He may not reply quickly around here, if I'm aware he is starting a tour with his band.

Yah, no kidding. I get pissed off looking for strings for my six, then having to cough up $40 on a set. Guitarists have it lucky, $5 a set. I still haven't found anyone who makes strings for my 27,000 string bass. Those wussy string manufacturors.
