Had one of these and I am sorry i sold it. Mine had SD Basslines and sounded great. What do these pickups sound like/ What is the neck profile like?
Pickups are nice. IMHO better than the Bartolinis that were in an older model I once owned, a little more aggressive. Neck is perfect to me, slightly wider than a jazz and shallow like a modern P.
Sorry not sure as some of the Korean and I believe all of the Indonesain are. Just know the frets feel great to me. No buzz and nice action.
I've got a 44-02 w/ Lakland (LH-3) pups and pre, they're a great, versatile pickups and preamp combo. Bartolini switched their pickup design sometime after the year 2000. The 2000 and earlier Barts are what Lakland used to get off the ground and gain fame... they're FANTASTIC IMO!! Skylines started hitting the market in 2002 and got the darker sounding (less desirable to most) Barts. The LH-3 pups are a huge improvement over post-2K Barts. 44-02 necks have 1.625" nut width like a Stingray and are fast and smooth... thin front to back... PERFECT IMO. Tiny frets and superior fretwork make for comfy comfy necks. Korean Skylines got hands on fretwork by Lakland... like the US Laklands STILL get to this day. Indo Skys now get PLEKing to save time (which means $$).... opinions vary on which method is best. My favorite Laklands have all had the human treatment . GLWTS and hope my info is helpful.
