Put one on layaway at the LGS today. Played great, felt great. Wasn't looking for a Jazz bass, but saw the ad for it online, and went and tried it out. I really liked it.

    Couple questions.

The one I played had bartolini pickups, online, it doesn't look like these were standard, is that true?

Anyone have one and care to comment on it?

Am I stupid to get/not get it for 7 bills?

Yeah that's a good score. These are somewhat rare. Far as I know, they never came with Barts, although it's possible it's a custom factory thing. Nice bass!

did you buy this??? GREAT deal! I have one and love it!
  7. I'm looking all over for a fretless 55-60 with no luck. 55-01 and 55-02 are easier to find fretless. 55-64 is hard to find at all right now too and I don't think they offer it fretless.
