I picked this beautiful Lakland 55-94 Deluxe USA bass up in a trade. It turns out I'm not a 5 string bass player, so it's up for sale. It is a real closet classic, still has the plastic on the back control plate. Insane birdseye neck and quilted top. I believe it is from 2002 and has been living in its case for almost the entire time. It comes with its deluxe case. The neck has a gorgeous birdseye fingerboard. The body has a beautiful quilted maple top on a very light swamp ash body. It is 8.8 pounds. Incredible for a 5 string. It sounds great and plays smooth. The Lakland is supposed to have the best B string out there. The controls are volume, treble bass, mids, pan between pickups. The switch is a three-way that controls the musician style pickup- bridge coil, both coils or neck coil. Any of those combined with the neck Jazz bass or any selection alone creates a huge range of tones. It gets better, though. Inside there is a DIP switch that toggles between four frequencies for the mid knob. Amazing.

You’re pretty much giving this away. Man I wish I had these funds.

It turns out I prefer a 4 string bass. It's a great bass, though, and someone will be very happy.

Any interest in trades for a '72 pbass in natural with maple neck or a 2016 walnut Rickenbacker at 8 pounds?
