SOLD $800 plus actual shipping. Will ship in a gig bag and will be well packed for transit. Local deal prefered.

Only trades considered would be straight up for an SR5 or perhaps a Suhr era Jazz Deluxe 5er.

I'm not doing the country thing any longer, the 5er is not getting used and the Glaub is getting all the gigging time in my classic rock band. I'd rather someone have the joy of playing this baby than it just sitting.

I bought this here last year at an unbelievable price and I'll pass the great deal on to you guys my bruthas. Here's the original ad text.

"Up for sale is my beautiful Lakie 55-02 , year is 2009. Mods include....removal of all finish in neck pocket, neck joint is now bare wood to bare wood. addition of MusicMan style oval pickguard Blk/Wht/Blk...no screws, held by double sided tape for those that want one where the pickqguard can be removed without screw holes remaining. Comes in a gig bag, well boxed and protected.

Spoke with Lakland regarding and this was made when they started Plek'ing thier Skylines. Set up, action, is fast, and low, just above buzz, [DEL]Elixir's still on there[/DEL].

There is a finish crack at the neck joint (pictured) that has been there since I purchased the bass in 2010. Finish only. Wood is unnaffected. Bass is in excellent condition, and is really quite beautiful. Rosewood board, Natural finish body."

It has TI Flats on it now but would be willing to re-string with rounds if preferred, though you will have to re-adjust the neck after the string change. Weight on digital scale = 9.0lb.

  2. I think the pickguard looks MUCH better than the older Lakland ones.

FWIW, since it's a 5 string, it would probably be more fitting that it were a "Sterling" PG. :ninja:
