The story goes that this was the very first of the Skyline series. This is one of the first handful that came back from Korea and they made a mistake with the necks. They were supposed to be the first run of the Duck Dunn model. This was the tobacco burst, maple neck, with gold anodized pick guard and a jazz style neck. However, they made a mistake and fitted them with p-bass necks. I'm told there were only about a 6 of them and they never left the shop. All the guys in the shop loved them and bought them. To my knowledge none of these Laklands ever made it to stores. Everything is original, comes with Lakland harshell plastic case, extra pick guard (red tortoise shell), and is currently strung with flats. This bass is a monster. It's the lightest p-bass I've ever played and plays VERY fast. This has been my main bass since 2002 and has been played a lot, and been all over the country. It's still in great shape, but does have a few necks and some buckle rash. I will post pictures later tonight. I've never seen another one of these come up for sale and I know they'll only go up in value. $1200.00 shipped. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
