Lakland DJ Question

    Does anyone know the weight of the Skyline DJ 5 string or where I can find out?

    Also how does it compare to a JO or... the 55-02?

    The weight, as with most basses, will vary. Given that it's a fiver, and that Skylines sometimes weigh 11 lbs., I wouldn't expect it to be on the light side. Having said that, my DJ4 is a very comfortable 9 lbs.

    Be aware that both DJs and JOs now have Lakland pickups--they used to come with Aeros and Fralins, respectively, until sometime in 2006. Also, 55-02s used to come with Barts before Lakland started using its own preamp/pups system.
