Lakland's Jerry Scheff has been discontinued???? Why?? Lack of popularity, or is Jerry no longer a Lakland artist? I actually didn't see Jerry's name on Lakland's site, only his son Jason's.

    Anybody know what went down?

    Thanks,
    God Bless, Ray

This bass was discontinued, a few years back?

They simply did not sell well.

Thing is, the play and sound great. (Kent Armstrong pickups)

If you can find one, you won't be sorry.

There is one up for sale in the classifieds now. I didn't realize they had been discontinued. Odd thing to me still is Jerry's name is no longer on the Lakland site. When were they discontinued?

    Thanks,
    God Bless, Ray

The models were removed from the site this year....

there were only about 20 US Scheff's made in 8 years....not alot!

i do not know how many Skylines were made.....

if you can get one - do it!

that one in the classidfieds went WAY too fast!

  5. i think they had trouble getting the pickups, kinda like the dark stars. but i'm not postive about that...

You're not kidding BP. I saw it first thing this morning and it's already sold.
I really want to try a five string anyhow. Looking at the 55-01 and -02 from Lakland. Been playing fora while now but I've never tried a fiver, or a Lakland for that matter.
Keeping my eye in the classifieds.

    Thanks,
    God Bless, Ray
