    -----------------------------------------------------------

****I should add, not really looking at trades.****

Putting up for sale a Lakland Skyline made in Korea RARE Limited edition "Dude Pit II" bass.
This bass was commissioned by Steve Barr, owner of the original "Dude Pit" club/website to offer to it's members as a limited edition run from Lakland.
There were only 30 of these basses made.
They feature the now "UNobtainium" Hammon DARK STAR pickup!
These pickups are nearly impossible to find anywhere for any price.

The body is a Bob Glaub Precision style body.
The neck is the narrower Joe Osbourne style jazz width neck.
Fretboard is rosewood with white binding.
    Headstock is matching White.

The bass is in white color with tort pickguard and chrome hardware.
Tuners are the ultra light tuners by Hipshot.
The Darkstar is very responsive to the simple V/T set up.
    Bass is passive.

I do not have a bathroom scale, so please do not ask me to weigh it.
I would guess it weighs about as much as one of my US Musicman Stingrays.
Approx. 9.5lbs? maybe a little under?

The bass was just set up by a local tech.
But the saddles still are high.
This is not something that bothers everyone.
Honestly someone who is tech savy should try to get the saddle height down to allow for better adjustments of the string action.
I always mention EVERYTHING I can to possible buyers of my basses. ( Thus my perfect feedback ) :)

The overall condition is very clean!
I can find no dings..no scratches...no chips or nicks in the body, neck or headstock.
The pickguard has some playing/cleaning scratches/swirls.
The darkstar has one or two very minor scuffs on the top frame from string touching it along the way in it's life.

I recently bought this bass from the original owner who ordered it from Steve Barr through the Dude Pit order. So I guess it is really more or less a "one owner" bass for 99.9% of it's lifetime. Being I have had it for a week or so?
This one has not been around the block through dozens of hands.

    That's about it folks.
I will give this bass a week here on Talkbass to find a new home at this price.
Then I will remove it and raise the price and put it on Ebay to broaden the buyer scope.
Get it while ya can! :bassist:

Feel free to add any info you might have on the bass that I left out in the thread. And PM me with interest or questions.
    Thanks! :D

If I wasn't out huntin' for a US Lakland, I might consider this. Dan's a great guy to do business with, straight up and no BS.

yep from what I have heard this one is the king Skyline for sure.
I just have no skills tweaking basses.
And honestly have my eye on other things right now as well.

Soooooo someone out there is going to get themselves an elusive darkstar bass for a fairly low price.
