Let's see those Laklands!
Left: US 55-94 Standard w/Sims LEDs
Right: US Deluxe 55 Dual J (New Toy!)
here's my 55-02 deluxe. Love this bass.
I know there are more than this!
My old Lakland:
My current Lakland:
I think you lost a string there? What up?
My 55-01 and his retarded little brother
55-02 Deluxe, sans frets
My 4-94 STD with SD Alnico pickups and 3 way mid freq. switch.
These Laklands are all so beautiful. Does any one have any advice for me: Stingray 5 or Skyline 55-02? I can't decide, and am very sad that no one near me stocks Laklands for me to touch! Keep 'em coming!
I got a Skyline 55-02 in part to replace my Stingray 4, which I'm selling since I don't use it much anymore. With the Lakland, I can cop Stingray-esque tones but have more flexibility with the neck J pup.
If you're considering the Ray 5 because you want that Ray sound, then that's probably what you should buy as the Lakland will do a good approximation of that sound, but not the full thing. But the Lakland is an amazingly playable bass, the neck is thin and the b-string is great.
well, if you insist...
on the left is my 55-01, on the right is my JO5... in the spirit of "collect the entire set," there is a 55-02 in my future!
Here are 2 of my Laklands a Bob Glaub and a Joe Osborne.
Here's my JO.
I am probably going back to exclusively 4's though, so this one may hit the chopping block.
