Went bass shopping yesterday! I went to one shop that had a 94-02 and one that had a 55-02. I liked the 94-02, but I did not really like the pricing. I played the 55-02, but did not like the amp I played it through. The speaker kept distorting on the low B. I couldn't really get a feel for it. I thought the 94-02 was pretty darn good. Can anyone tell me from their experience with both the differences?

I know they are made in different parts of the world and assembled in Chicago. I also know the 55-02 does not have graphite in the neck either (that is what I am most concerned about).

I have a 55-02 and the low B is great. Used it with many different amp/cab combinations.

You may want to do a search since this topic has been discussed many times. You'll probably find lots of useful info for your decision.
