I am generally happy with my Lakland Skyline 5501 but would like to know how the neck profile compares with other Laklands. I find it a bit chunky but that is coming from playing jazz type basses, and 4 strings at that. How do the 5502s, Darryl Jones and Joe Osborn basses compare in this area?
    Thanks

The 55-0*'s, and JOs have the same profile. The DJ neck is a bit different, with a 12" radius, slightly narrower width and 21 frets instead of 22.

I slightly prefer the DJ neck profile, but both are good.

I believe the Decade 5 and BG 5's will have the same profile as the 0*'s and JO's.

Yeah, the DJ5 is the only "oddball" Lakland 5-string neck. A bit narrower and faster. ESPECIALLY awesome if you get one of the new Plek'd ones...
