Lakland Skyline Bob Glaub $800

Discussion in 'For Sale: Bass Guitars' started by toddtodd, Mar 3, 2008.

  1. This is a Lakland Skyline Bob Glaub. Sunburst with a Tort guard. It does not have any dings or nicks. There is normal play wear, ie. light scratching in the clear coat, and some swirl on the back. This bass is in great shape and sounds amazing. It comes with a padded gig bag.

I'm getting out of the bass game, but rest assured, if I ever come back, I will be getting another Glaub. I am not interested in any Bass gear trades. Only interested in Les Paul guitars...

Too funny, we must live in opposite universes.
You're two skylines for sale are almost identical to my recent purchases.
  3. Is the nut 1.5" or 1.75 ?
  4. I will measure it today when I get home and let you know...
  5. From outside edge to outside edge of nut is 1.75.

Is this the correct way to measure the nut?

yes.. the glaubs used to have the option of a jazz taper neck. Yours is the standard p-style neck.
  7. The neck on this bass is very jazz like. I will get in contact with Lakland and confirm which neck it has...

The neck profile feels more flat on the Glaub than a Fender P even though the nut width is similar, making it easier to get your hands around. At least that was the case with one I tried yesterday.
  9. I just sent an email to Lakland with the serial and will post the info when I get it.
These basses have the coolest feeling, nicest necks I have ever felt on a bass. I'm in trouble if I ever try out a USA model.
  10. it's such a good looking bass...
  11. Thanks. Lakland says this neck is the 1.75 "P bass" neck.

Oooooh, nice. How much does it weigh? Does it balance well (ie, no neckdive)?
  13. No neck dive, very balanced. I'll try and get the exact weight for you...

Don't know if it means anything but this bass is honestly my favorite bass, ever.

Do you know if those are Lakland pickups or Fralins?
  15. The Fralins were stock until a year or so ago, right?

It's a 2002, and has the stock pickup.
