Lakland Skyline Hollowbody with Chisonic single coil pickups. The single coil pickups are clear and strong. Well balanced, not heavy, no neck dive. Sounds great with fingers or a pick Came Plek'ed from the factory. With optional hard shell case. Strung with D'Addario Chromes flatwounds. Near mint condition. Everything works as it should. Case shows some minor wear. Looks, Sounds, and plays great. Since Covid I've decided to limit my playing to occasional sub/fill in work so I don't need 12 basses. Not interested in trades. Wow two of these in the Classifieds at once! I know they are different in year and build country/pickups but they're both....red!
Any idea of the year of manufacture of this bass? Also, how does it sound acoustic? I practice a lot without plugging in. Does the hollow body make it pretty resonant un-amplified? It would be nice to have a bass had a little acoustic heft for noodling around the house without going full-on ABG. I am SO tempted…
The Serial number indicates it was made November 2010. I was surprised it is almost 11 years old, I would have guessed 4 or 5. Practice while unplugged is possible. It's louder then my P-Bass by far and you can hear a bass tone. Round wound strings would make it even more audible. It wouldn't be practical if there were any background noise like a TV or kids playing. Obviously it's not as loud as an ABG but in my opinion doable.
