Selling a recently acquired Lakland 4-94. This is not the newer (and cheaper) 44-14. It is a 4-94 Standard, from around 2008 or 2009, when Dan Lakin still owned the company. (At the time, they apparently sold Deluxe, Standard, and Classic models.) Here is the thread from when I bought it: SOLD - Lakland 4-94 Great bass, sounds great, plays great, great condition, no issues I can see; but I just didn't fall in love with it. Every time I get an active bass, I sell it and go back to passive. You think I'd know better by now. It is nice and light, previous seller says it is 8lbs and I believe it! (Did not weigh it, but I my other basses are 8.5 and 7.6, and this feels the same to me as the lighter one.) Local sale preferred. Might consider interesting trades. I bought a pickguard that I have not installed (see second picture). I will include that too.
Lowering the price for a quick sale. $1700, with shared shipping costs. This is a great deal on a Lakin-era 4-94.
Lowering it again. 1600, you pay shipping. Bought it for more, but I am about to buy a car and need some extra $$.
Here are some trades I would consider (plus/minus cash as appropriate)... A cool passive Precision or Tele bass (Fender Custom Shop, Bluesman, Nash, or maybe even vintage MIJ) Older EBMM Stingray Modulus Flea / FB-4 / FU-4, preferably with Bartolini pickup Gary Willis GWB1/GWB1005 Pedulla buzz I seem to prefer passive basses (so don't know why I just listed four with preamps )
