Brand New USA Lakland 44-60, i am the original owner and i just recieved this bass less than a month ago. It is a beautiful sounding, playing & looking bass!!!! I am only selling it because i just bought another one that is the exact bass but slightly lighter and with a bum shoulder every little bit counts. This bass weighs in at about 9lbs even, not heavy at all. Thanks for looking!!!
How does the finish compare to the other one you bought? (assuming it was the other thread on here that sold the other day). This one looks much "sparklier" than that one did. Could just be from a flash.
I think it's a combination of the lighting and my crappy photography skills. It's not overly or unusually sprarkly. I won't get the other bass until tommorow and i'll post a side by side pic.
I'm going to go out on limb and say I'm probably the only tb'r with two burgundy mist Lakland 44-60's, hopefully not too much longer though. The finishes on both are identical, they're only 5 serial numbers apart so they were most likely painted at the same time. Here is your chance to get a brand new Lakland in a rare color for over a thousand less and no wait!!
Beautiful ! On the upper horn face, there looks like a mar on the finish - is the just the light from the photo?
How about a 2014 Roscoe SKB 3005 - mint? Bart pickups, bart pre, pau ferro fretboard. Amber bursrt finish - I have original case and certificate from Roscoe. 1.75" at the nut - 18 mm spacing Best Low B in the business : ) I have 2 other 5's and I've never gigged her. List is about 4k - decent ones go for about $2200- $2500 on here . Thanks! RBJ
I would so get this if i knew i was getting that amount back on my tax returns. Unfortunately, i will see half as much. Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!
