Lakland USA 44-64 vs. Fender AVRI

I own an AVRI 63 and 57 p-bass but have lately heard a lot about Lakland. I tried out a skyline and the neck felt amazing....super fast, tiny frets, it just felt much more agile than an AVRI

What are your thoughts on the USA made Bob Glaubs (44-64) and how they compare to fender avris? There is a mint mid-2000s Glaub going for CAD 2700 plus 13 pct tax...not sure if that is the best deal but wanted to hear your thoughts.
