Just got two Lane Poor pickups. One is SB4500 and the other is HB4500. Both for 6 string bass. Anyone have info on these ? thanks, don
Don how are you? The HB stands for "humbucker" and I blelieve the SB is for a "slim" or narrow humbucker. I am sure that N stands for "narrow coil" non humcanceling. I can ask, I've been in contact with a guy that use to work for Lane.
actually, not necessarily single coils. Their MM pup only has two wires - it's got two coils but they're hardwired in parallel.
FWIW: Yep, apparently the 2 lead LPMM is the norm and 4 lead the exception. However since they're slim, probably singles but I don't know that for a fact.
